How It Started

The idea to get into the party decor business started with our photo booth. That business was rooted in my desire to spend more time with family while creating passive income as a teacher. I quickly learned though, that a photo booth is more than just a photo booth; it's an opportunity for hosts and guests to create moments that are everlasting memories, which is what expanded our services.

Liana Lauterbach

Hi! I am Liana; I  founded and ownHoney Events,  a party decor/ planning company in DFW.

I am the oldest of five and have a dog, Penny. I was raised in Midlothian and Frisco, Texas. In December 2019, I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Education from Midwestern State University in Whichta Falls, Texas.I began teaching while studying to earn my Masters degree in Math Curriculum & Instruction. In 2021, I graudated from the University of Texas at Arlington. After teaching for three years, I drastically changed my career path from education to being a Creator.

While I always dreamt of teaching, I also dreamt of being an artist. While I thought I could never be a Frida Kahlo, I didn't let myself dream too much for fear of dissappoiuntment. Now, I find myself being an artist, just in a different box than the one I had limited myself to.

As an Educator, I loved the relationships I had the privildege to build with my students and families. As a business owner, I feel more than blessed to still be able to build relationships with the clients I serve. In the classroom, I was more than a teacher. I was an advocate for my students, someone that brought light to darkness in my students' lives. As a business owner, I love to create a platform for people to be able to celebrate eachother while they make special memories. So while I taught more than math, I do more than blow balloons up and hang walls- I help create memories and I love everything about it.

In my free time, I love reading books about learning, psychology, I love Colleen Hoover. I love journaling and spening time in the Word. I love Maverick City Music and podcasts have become my new favorite thing. I love all things celery juice, acai bowls, anything vegan. I love working out, playing tennis and running. And I love Google & Apple, can't forget those. As I have gotten older, I've found that I am a total nerd and I love it. And then, my family. My sisters are everything to me and being a Yana to my neices and nephews has grown my heart to be bigger than I even knew was possible.
